Join us in learning the simple yet powerful practice of rounding.
This advanced technique is a sequence of gentle yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork) and Vedic meditation designed to drop you into deep relaxation. You’ll be guided through the sequence and given take home notes so you can integrate the practice into your life.
Sunday 17th September, 9:30am-12:30pm
Held at a private residence in Hampton, address will be given upon sign up.
Please see below for course contribution details.
Once you have learned to round, you’re welcome to attend a rounding session where you will flow through three rounds with your fellow community members before sharing a meal together.
Rounding course contribution.
Our sliding scale, based on the green bottle method by Alexis J. Cunningfolk, is designed to meet you where you’re at and help you determine which contribution best reflects your financial privilege. This system is based on honesty and mutual trust, we don’t require you to provide any proof or justification of your chosen contribution, we simply ask that you read all the options available, reflect on your current circumstances and select the option that best applies.
Before choosing your contribution please read the full breakdown of the sliding scale (on this page), but here is a very brief rundown:
Option 1 is the actual cost of the course. If you choose a contribution below this you are receiving a discount.
Option 2 is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this course may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship. This option was previously the “concession” rate.
Option 3 is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this course would still be a significant hardship.
The Pay-It-Forward price is higher than the actual cost of the course and that extra money goes towards supporting scholarships as well as future free or low-cost classes. Essentially it's an opportunity to not only take your course but also support your fellow community members while you're at it.
Please keep in mind that there are a fixed amount of spaces for each session, if you choose an option on the lowest end of the scale when truthfully you could afford at the higher end, you may be preventing access for those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. In some instances courses may be rescheduled if minimum numbers aren’t reached.
Pay it forward - $220
Option 1 - $180
Option 2 - $160
Option 3 - $140
Scholarship - If the above costs would cause you financial hardship, please contact Julia to discuss a trade (eg. helping to set up or pack down the workshop)
