The practice.
Vedic meditation is an effortless technique designed to dissolve stress and fatigue from the body and leave you feeling more creative, confident and joyful. For 20 minutes, twice a day, we sit down, close our eyes and allow our body to rest and repair. This technique is so easy that absolutely anyone can do it! We don’t concentrate or try to stop thinking and no fancy positions are required. Simply sit comfortably and allow your body to let go.
We use a mantra (sound) and a simple mental technique which draws the mind into a calm, relaxed state. As the mind settles down, the body follows, allowing deep rest and rejuvenation to occur. By practicing daily, we gain access to the full potential of our mind and find that we are able to move through life with greater clarity, energy and compassion.
The 4-session course.
Vedic meditation is taught over four, consecutive sessions designed to give you all the knowledge you need to be a confident meditator.
Session 1 - 60 minutes:
A private 1-on-1. You’ll witness a brief ceremony of gratitude to the lineage this practice comes from, receive your personal mantra, learn the fundamentals of the technique and experience your first Vedic meditation!
Sessions 2, 3 and 4 - 90 minutes:
Conducted in a small group setting, these sessions are for you to bring your questions and discover how to make the most of your new tool for deep rest and self healing. These intimate groups allow plenty of discussion time so you can share and fully understand your experiences. Together we refine the technique, explore the effects of stress on the body and discuss for bringing the benefits of meditation into your everyday life. By the end of day four you’ll be confident to take your practice and make it your own. (But there’s a whole community for support if you want/need it!)
